Aimed at those wanting to be work-ready upon completion, this Beginners Hairdressing Course is the perfect way to start your new career. You’ll be cutting hair on day 2! You’ll also have training on roller-setting, long hair, colouring, perming, client care, shampooing, blow-drying and salon protocol.

This course includes VTCT online testing to complete the qualification.

The Alan d and VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing certificate is awarded on completion of the course.

You can take this course at both our London and Ipswich Hairdressing Schools.

Our Ipswich Hairdressing School can be found on Queen Street, Ipswich and provides training led by some of the top Hairdressing trainers in the industry. You will be trained on both dummy heads and live models and use salon-professional hair products and tools.

Yes, our Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing can be taken part-time. You must attend classes at least 3 consecutive days per week.


What is the difference between an Level 2 NVQ and Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing Course?
Our Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing Course is 100 days (20 weeks) and therefore is a more comprehensive Beginners Course than our Level 3 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing / Women’s Hairdressing and Barbering Courses which is only 60 days (12 weeks).
