Alan d Hairdressing Education offer a wide range of full or part-time Ladies Hairdressing and Barbering courses to suit all levels. With over 60 years of experience in the industry, both as salon owners and with hairdressing and barber schools, we know that practical training makes a great hairdresser or barber. We have Beginners Courses for those looking to enter the world of Hairdressing or Barbering, Intermediate Courses for those looking to build more confidence on the salon or barbershop floor and Advanced Courses for experienced hairstylists looking to learn advanced skills. All the Beginners’ Courses aim to get you work-ready, teaching you all the latest Hairdressing and Barbering techniques, whilst our Intermediate & Advanced courses will enhance your skillset. All our courses can be taken at either our London or Ipswich Schools.

We currently teach from two locations in the UK. Our Hairdressing Academies are situated in the historic Smithfield area of London and Ipswich Town Centre in Suffolk. With 2 convenient locations, we are the number one destination for Ladies Hairdressing & Barbering courses. Our Barbering and Hairdressing Schools are purpose-built using bespoke equipment and created to reflect the look and feel of a Salon or Barbershop.
Alan Hemmings has been part of the Hairdressing and Barbering industry for over 60 years and ensures that the highest standards taught to him are still met today. In 2010 his dedication to the industry was rewarded by the Fellowship for British Hairdressing with a Lifetime Achievement Award for services to Hairdressing & Education.
Creative Director & Director of Education Edward Hemmings left a career in Banking 30 years ago to train with the company. He now ensures the smooth-running of the Hairdressing and Barbering schools in London and Ipswich whilst looking after his numerous clients and running industry events as a host and compere.
